Access to Education

Kuhenza’s child scholarship program covers boarding fees, medical care, supplemental staff, and food for children in primary schools, secondary  schools,  vocational institutions and colleges. Although the Kenyan government provides free primary school education for all children, such coverage does not include the cost of special needs and boarding fees  that are necessary for many students with disabilities.

We help families access funding for these schools and also connect parents to other scholarship programs for their children. Our education programs enable over 200 children with disabilities to enrol in full-time education programs each year.
