Who We Are

Kuhenza for the Children is a Public Benefit organization(PBO) that exists to meet the needs of children with disabilities in Kilifi County along the Coast of Kenya. Ultimately, the goal is that these children along with their families and communities understand that they have value and are deserving of love and acceptance.

Education

Supporting children with disabilities to access appropriate, high-quality education while supporting the staff and infrastructure of their schools.

Medical Intervention

Many parents and caregivers of children with disabilities are unable to afford the medical care these children need. In response, Kuhenza provides funding, referrals and transportation to help children access medical services such as physical therapy, doctor visits, surgeries, medication, nutritional support, and equipment like wheel chairs and hearing aids.

Livelihood

Supporting youth with disabilities and parents and caregivers of children with disabilities to access trainings, coaching, and microloans that enable them to earn sustainable incomes.
